[previous article] [next article]The computation facilities at Potter has just gone through a major computer upgrade along with the installation of a new air conditioning unit. The Potter computers now consist of three single VAX 11/780's, a dual VAX 11/780, three SUN servers, six SUN workstations, as well as a variety of MacIntosh's, IBM clones, and printers.
Purdue Engineering Research Center serves as a home for many of the interrelated engineering disciplines. The Institute for Interdisciplinary Engineering Studies, IIES, houses the following:

The computation services that Potter offers extends beyond its inner walls. We also serve many offices outside of the friendly confines. These are located in Young Hall, Krannert, ENAD, MGL, and FLEX Lab I and II at the Research Park. These include:
The Purdue Engineering Research Centers has brought in more research funds that any other school at Purdue this year. It is this kind of extended effort that helps make the Schools of Engineering at Purdue University one of the best in the nation.
