Berkeley ISP Installed

NO NAME NEWSLETTER-- January 1988

David A. Curry

The Berkeley Interactive Statistics Package (ISP) has been installed on a few ECN machines. It includes standard statistical routines, many advanced techniques, instructional commands, a collection of datasets for use in examples, and on- line documentation for all commands. It is used at the University of California at Berkeley for teaching and research, and it is available at an increasing number of other institutions, both academic and non-academic. Manuals are available from your site specialist.

Because of its size, ISP is only installed on a few machines. At present, only two machines, ea and cb have it installed. If you would like ISP installed on your machine, discuss this with your site specialist. Presently, ISP can be installed on Vaxes and Sun workstations. We are working on porting it to the Gould machines, but there are still a few bugs, and it is not available yet. We hope to make it available by the summer of 1988.
