Kent Parkinson
On the horizon, the AGEN department has been designated as a beta
site for AutoSolid. This is a solid modeling program based on
the Part and Assembly Description Language (PADL) developed at
the University of Rochester.
AUTOSOLID FEATURES
- Interactive 3-D solid modeling for rapid model creation.
- Constructive Solid Geometry (CSG).
- Applications Programming Interface (API) that allows
users to write custom "C" programs.
- High-accuracy mass properties calculation of mass
density, volume, center of gravity, etc.
- AutoSolid will interface with finite element modeling
packages such as ANSYS.
We invite all those interested to examine this new software
package once it has been received and installed.
