Are You About To Expire?

Kathleen Stone

In other words, is your ECN account about to expire? To find out, use the finger command and your login. For example, if I wanted to check the expiration date on my account, I would type "f kathleen". After issuing the finger command and pressing return, the following information would appear on my screen.

The fifth line on the left side indicates when your account will expire. For example, my account expires in June 1992. If your account shows a May 1992 expiration date, your account will be removed in a few weeks. If you are returning to school next summer and/or fall semester, notify your site specialist to have your account extended. In order to do this, however, it is necessary to show your site specialist proof of enrollment.
