ECN's First Assistant Director

Thomas Statnick became the ECN's first Assistant Director on July 1, 1997 when he accepted the position of Assistant Director of ECN for Advanced Development. Previously, he was Manager of the User Services Group.

His responsibilities for the next couple years will be to serve as a senior technical consultant to the Purdue Academic Computing Environment (PACE) group. He will work with Maryjane Scharenberg of ECN and with Jeff Smith and Bill Bormann of PUCC. PACE is a project to evolve a new campus wide academic computing environment. Its key goal is to bring pervasively available networked computing services to Purdue students, staff, and faculty in a platform independent manner.

Dave Carmichael replaced Tom as Manager of ECN's User Services Group. Tom is now located with the PACE group in room 364F of the Potter Engineering Center. His new phone number is 49-63183. His email address is trs@purdue.edu.
