[previous article] [next article]As an undergrad, Dave worked with several of the professors in Chemical Engineering on various computing projects, from GUI interfaces to simulators. He was also an in-house computer consultant for Chemical Engineering. Dave received his BS in Chemical Engineering in 1984. At that time, he started working for a new company, now named Batch Process Technologies in West Lafayette. As a Development Engineer, Dave worked on the development of a batch/semicontinuous chemical process simulation system. This software is now sold commercially as BATCHES.
Dave will continue to work towards increasing the level of service provided to the Schools of Engineering by the ECN staff based on faculty, staff, and students requirements. He is available and welcomes comments or suggestions on ECN services in person (office MSEE-104G), or via email (carmicha@ecn.purdue.edu).
After a few years off of the links, Dave has taken up golf again (watch out). He also spends a bit of time playing racquetball, and pool, or bicycling, hiking, white water rafting, and canoeing as well as playing guitar.
