Checking Web Code

WEBINIT is ECN's method for creating a web site on ECN Sun equipment. To use this command:

• Locate yourself in your HOME directory
• Type webinit
• All necessary support files and correct permission codes will be put in place for you
• The program will email you information explaining the web structure that has been created in your account.

A report will fill your browser screen reporting "No errors found" or listing lines with code errors and stating the problem. If errors are found:

• Edit your file.
• Reload the file.
• Re-click the validator button and your code will be rechecked and hopefully you will receive a "No errors found" report. If your code still contains errors, repeat the process.

The advantage of a "No errors found" finding is that now you can be sure that your page will be viewable by all browsers.
