- Articulated
Motion Laboratory,
The Articulated Motion laboratory supports research activities in the
simulation, analysis, design, and control of articulated motion generated
by either biological or robotic systems. The emphasis is on the class of
articulated systems that are kinematically redundant, and therefore
capable of highly complex and dexterous motions.
- Distributed Multimedia
Systems Laboratory,
- Electronic Imaging Systems Laboratory,
The Electronic Imaging Systems Laboratory enables research activities
in the areas of image capture, image rendering, and document
processing. The laboratory is equipped with high-resolution and large
format printers, high-precision scanners, and high-performance
workstations.
- Multi-
Spectral Image Processing Laboratory,
The Multispectral Image Processing Laboratory is devoted to analyzing
high-dimensional multispectral image data and to the transfer of the
resulting technology to the user community. A wide variety of
applications, both with regard to air- and space-derived Earth
observational data and other forms of remote sensing, is possible.
- Purdue Multimedia
Testbed,
The Purdue Multimedia Testbed was developed for the study and
evaluation of networked multimedia systems. Research areas supported
by the laboratory include video and image compression, computer
networks, multimedia authoring, media capture, wireless systems, and a
wide variety of applications.
- Robot Vision Laboratory,
- Spectral Imaging Systems Laboratory,
The Spectral Imaging Systems Laboratory has been developed for the
collection of multidimensional data sets. The principal sensors include
a high spatial resolution digital still camera and a novel multispectral
scanning system that yields several hundred bands of spectral data at
each pixel in the image.
- Video and Image Processing Laboratory,
- Video and Image Systems Engineering Laboratory.
