Benchmarking with Realistic Applications

Mission:
to develop the technology and infrastructure that enable both scientists and engineers to use the most realistic applications for evaluating the performance of current and future computer systems and their components.

This Web page describes two complementing efforts:
  1. the development of a benchmarking infrastructure
  2. and several research projects that make use of this infrastructure.

Benchmarking Infrastructure
SPEChpc is a  benchmark suite  that has been developed in collaboration with the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC).
The High-Performance Group of SPEC maintains and distributes this suite.
Characterization repository of SPEChpc and other computational applications.
This effort is maintained at Purdue University.
