Q: Why EVT3 does not sync with my Jornada 548/568 when I try to download files from EVT3 to the Pocket PC?
A: You need to edit the Jornada registry to MODIFY a key value. First, download the Pocket PC Registry Editor and install it on your Jornada. On the Jornada registry, locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder. Open the Windows CE Tools subfolder and edit the value data field for Platform. Delete the current value and enter {0F9D255B-97DA-4641-A8E6-7A7411D2472F}. Save the changes and exit. Do a soft reset of the device for the changes to take effect.
Q: How do I clean the screen of the Handheld PC or Pocket PC?
A: When a bare hand touches the screen or display on the device, a trace of natural oil is left behind that makes reading the screen from certain angles difficult. If the screen needs to be cleaned, use a commercial glass cleaner sprayed onto a soft cloth. Avoid spraying the screen directly.
Q: How to setup and connect your Pocket PC to PAL (wireless for PDA)
A:
1) Install ActiveSync according to the page, do not connect pda to the PC until prompted.

2) With pda stilll connected to your PC, download driver for wireless card

Install the driver by running "PocketPC 2002 Drivers/NetworkerSetupPPC2002.exe" in the zip archive.
Insert the wireless card after driver is installed.

Note that Pocket PC 568 is the model that was distributed to you so download Movian Pocket PC 2002 and closely follow the instruction included in the zip file. Before installing Movian VPN client, go to Start > Settings, then select the Connections tab. Double click on the Connections icon. Make sure that the option "My network card connects to:" is set to "The Internet" and not Work, otherwise you will not be able to connect after Movian is installed.
4) Disconnect pda from your PC and connect to PAL using Movian VPN with your ECN username and password.
