RISK Master Safety Leader Program
About the Master Safety Leader Program
The RISK Project Master Safety Leader Program was initiated in 1995 to
provide an organized structure for volunteer rural child safety efforts,
and to assist Purdue University's Agricultural Safety and Health Program
in fulfilling the RISK Project's primary goal of making rural Indiana a
safer place for children to live, work, and play.
The Rural Indiana Safer Kids Project initiated its first class of Master
Safety Leaders at the first Safety Leader Rendezvous August 24-26, 1995
at Purdue University. This talented team of trained volunteers - selected
for their agricultural know-how, aptitude for teaching, and dedication
to promoting safety - has conducted community-based rural and farm safety
programs throughout the state of Indiana.
