About:
The ChemE car team is in charge of creating a shoe-boxed size car
that runs (and stops!) on chemical reactions. They compete at Regionals in
the spring and at Nationals in the fall.
The Spring 2009 car is powered by three hydrogen fuel cells, and is stopped by a photo sensor that picks up the change in color of an iodine clock reaction solution.
