The standard version will run on any 386, 486 and Pentium system with or without a coprocessor. The "p" version will run on any 386, 486 and Pentium system that has a math coprocessor.
Please see the Read Me file for information on what to do after either of the MultiSpec packages listed below have been download. You may want to print a copy of the 'Read Me' file for later reference. Note that the MultiSpec archives are now in self extracting zip files instead of zip files. You should be able to extract the files without having a zip application.
Each of the MultiSpec packages include some sample image files. These are the same ones used in the tutorial in "An Introduction to MultiSpec".
There is one current version:
- The "12.20.2007 PC NT/XP/Vista MultiSpec 32-bit version" (requires Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP operating system) (1,800k bytes). This versions will read/write image files larger than 2 gigabytes. It has only been tested on Window NT and XP. I assume that it will work on Windows 2000. This version has not been tested under Windows 95/98/ME; it may not work. For this reason, the older version is still available below.
and three archive (older) versions:
- The "3.30.2005 PC 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP MultiSpec 32-bit version" (requires Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP operating system) (1,800k bytes). This version does not support files larger than 2 gigabytes. - The "PC_MultiSpec-P archive version" (6.30.1999) requires a 386, 486 or Pentium system with a math coprocessor. It is meant for the Windows 3.1 operating system. There will be no more updates to this version. (1500k bytes) - The "PC_MultiSpec archive version" (6.30.1999) (will run on any 386, 486 or Pentium system. 6.30.99 version. It is meant for the Windows 3.1 operating system. There will be no more updates to this version. (1600k bytes).
- The "3.30.2005 PC 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP MultiSpec 32-bit version" (requires Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP operating system) (1,800k bytes). This version does not support files larger than 2 gigabytes.
- The "PC_MultiSpec archive version" (6.30.1999) (will run on any 386, 486 or Pentium system. 6.30.99 version. It is meant for the Windows 3.1 operating system. There will be no more updates to this version. (1600k bytes).
