Archive Versions of MultiSpec for Macintosh
These archive (older) versions support older architecture Macintosh computers. There will be no more updates to these versions. The "Carbonized" and "PowerPC" versions cannot read ecw, jpeg2000, png and grib formatted files. Let me know if anyone needs either the "Carbonized" or "PowerPC" versions for their work; it is possible to update these versions.
- The "Universal version" will run native on PowerPC- and Intel-based Macintoshes running OSX 10.4 through 10.11.* This is a zip archive file. Let me know if you are not able to uncompress it. (21 megabytes).
- The "Carbonized version" (12.19.2011) will run on PowerPC- and Intel-based Macintoshes running OSX 10.1 through 10.5.* or those running OS8.6 thru OS 9.* as long as CarbonLib 1.4 or later is in the system extension folder. This is a zip archive file. Let me know if you are not able to uncompress it. (1.8 megabytes)
- The "PowerPC version" (12.19.2011) will run on PowerPC based Macintoshes running OS 7.1 thru OS 9.*. This version has only been tested on OS 9.* Note that this version will not handle file names longer than 31 characters. (1.8 megabytes)
- The "68K version" (5.20.2002) will run on 680x0 based Macintoshes having a Motorola 68881 or 68882 math coprocessor. (1.3 megabytes)
- An "68K/no math coprocessor version" (10.6.2000) is also available for 680x0 based machines which do not have a 68881 or 68882 math coprocessor such as the Mac Plus or Mac SE. (1 megabyte).
