Update

It has been four months and no updates. One of the main reasons is my digital camera stopped working and was in for repair. I thought that some plain text updates would be a little on the boring side so I decided to wait. During this time my brother-in-law helped me bring the frame to my '37 home to my own garage. As nice as it was to have the use of my friend Steve's shop it was getting hard to find the time to go there and work on it. Having everything in one place also has its advantage.

Once it was home everything mounted to the frame was removed so I could clean and paint the frame. I used POR15 on the frame and some of the front suspension pieces. The transmission tunnel area was then bolted back in place and the cab set back on the frame. I had three good reasons to put the unfinished cab back on the frame. First I need to make sure things fit, firewall clearance for the engine, shifter clearance at the seat etc. Second would be future work on the cab such as door hinges and the top chop. I wanted the cab in place so that I know everything fits. Finally I was short on space! The shifter position looks fine and all my measurements say the firewall is OK as is. I'll test fit it again before final finishing.

From there I have been working on the suspension and will break those down in following sections. A lot of the work was finished before my camera was fixed so most photos will be after the fact.
