Kathy (Kortte) Kilmer, Director of Industrial Engineering and Measurement
at Walt Disney World Company in Orlando,
Florida. Kathy received her Purdue BSIE degree in 1992. She is one of the 2007 recipients of
the School's Outstanding Industrial Engineer Award.
The video shows how all aspects of IE are used to improve the operations in the various
sectors at Disney.
Anne King is the recipient of the 2007 John Deere Oustanding Senior Engineer Award.
This award recognizes the outstanding senior engineering student.
"The $1,000 first place prize in the student division went to FastStats, an online
reference tool that was pitched to a fictional funder by Taner Kipfer, a junior in
industrial engineering , and John Clauss, a sophomore in liberal arts. The competition
was organized by the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program in the
Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship. Otis Elevator Company and Bose McKinney and Evans LLP
