The Purdue Co-op Student Association is an organization dedicated to
promoting the co-op program to new students and employers, and to
providing our members a social outlet to network with other co-op
students. Throughout the semester, we sponsor co-op informational
sessions, interviewing workshops, social events, and much more. Of
course, we are always looking for new ideas and new people to work
with. That's where you come in! As a visitor to our
website, we assume you fall into one of three categories:
New Students - The co-op process can be
confusing at first, from choosing whether to co-op or not, to
interviewing with employers, to setting up a new life while on
assignment. That's where CSA comes in! We can assist
you with any questions you might have about co-op by providing
informational workshops, or by directing you to chat with other
co-op students in your discipline, who can answer questions you
might have. Feel free to contact us at any time, we're here
to help!
Current Co-op Students - Wouldn't it be great to be able
to meet other students who understand life as an "every other
semester" resident of Purdue University? Someone who is
sympathetic to the term "4th year student" or "5th
year senior"? What about being able to be active in an
organization that knows your busy schedule, and understands that
you'd like to participate in a campus organization but feel you
can't because you'll only be around for one successive semester?
We at CSA know how you feel, and would like to invite you to
join us! Lifetime membership costs only $10, and allows you
to participate in our many activities! We are always looking for great people to
help with planning social activities and discussion panels, and much more! Stop by the co-op
office in CIVL 1259 or send mail to coops@ecn.purdue.edu
for more info!
Employers - Whether you've decided to become a co-op
employer, or are already a co-op employer looking for ways to
improve your program or assist your co-op students while here at
Purdue, you've come to the right place! As current or past
co-ops, we can provide insight into how to make your program
better, or (in the case of new employers) how to make you're
program successful from the start. We're here as a resource
for you, so don't hesitate to contact us for additional
information!
As a side note, we are always looking for ways to partner with
industry to promote the co-op program through workshops,
scholarships, community outreach, and social activities. If
you would like to sponsor our organization and generate awareness
of your co-op program, let us know and we can work together to
improve the co-op experiences of our students and help your
recruiting in the process! |
Whether you're a new student, employer,
or current co-op student, we'd love to hear from you, or see you at our
next meeting. Please let us know if you have any questions, and
thanks for taking the time to drop by our little corner of the web!
