- (11/09/2009) Homework 6 and Solution to Homework 5 are posted.
- (10/30/2009) Project 2 is assigned.
- (10/29/2009) Sample exam for midterm 2 is posted in "Homework & Exams".
Midterm 2 will be at 8pm Thursday, 11/12, ARMS 1109. As in Midterm 1,
the exam is closed-book and closed-note. No calculator is allowed.
You can bring a one-page
letter-sized single-sided crib sheet. Midterm 2 will cover
the materials after midterm 1 until Lecture 26 (flow control). The focus
will be on data link layer and flow control. It will NOT cover TCP.
- (10/28/2009) Due ot my travel, the lecture on Monday (11/2) will be
given by my Ph.D. student Joohwan Kim. I will give the lecture on Wednesday
(11/4). There will be NO lecture on Friday (11/6).
- (10/28/2009) We are half-way through the semester already!

- (10/27/2009) Solution to project 1 is posted.
- (10/26/2009) Solution to homework 4 is posted.
- (10/23/2009) Midterm 1 has been graded and returned after today's lecture.
For off-campus students, you should receive your exam paper in the mail.
Please check the solution posted on the web, under "Homework and Exams". If you need to request a regrade,
please submit a written request. For on-campus students, I need to receive
your written request by 10/30. For off-campus students, I need to
receive your written request one week after the day your receive the exam
paper, but no later than 11/6.
DO NOT MODIFY your exam paper. Instead, attached a note explaining which
problem and what discrepancy that you found. Then submit the note AND your
exam paper to either the
instructor or the Class Helper. For off-campus students, your written request
can be emailed to me, along with a scanned copy of your original exam
paper.
- (10/21/2009) Homework 5 is assigned.
- (10/14/2009) Don't forget the midterm 1 at 8pm Thursday, 10/15,
ARMS 1109. The instructor has an addition office hour on this Thursday,
10/15 from 3:30-4:30pm to answer any last minute questions. Good luck to
the midterm.
