The announcement attached was made in class during the live <br>
broadcast of Session 24 yesterday.  This e-mail is for the <br>
benefit of those students who do not watch the lecture live. <br>
<br>
Next week I have to attend an Air Force Meeting outside of Syracuse,<br>
NY.  I'll be out of town Wed., April 14 thru Friday, April 16.<br>
Rather than pre-tape a lecture for Session 26, which was to be<br>
broadcasted on Thursday, April 15, I have decided to simply cancel<br>
the class.  You can use the time to do Homework 6 which will go out <br>
in today's mail and should be posted at the web site shortly.<br>

Homework 6 is due to be postmarked by the date Session 27 is to be<br>
viewed at your site.  It deals with the synthesis of M=8 channel<br>
uniform Perfect Reconstruction Filter Banks from a tree-structured<br>
filter bank using a two-channel QMF, as discussed in class.  Be sure <br>
to make use of the Matlab code PRRC4chan.m posted at the course web site.<br>
<br>
I would greatly appreciate it if you would inform you respective<br>
site coordinators that Session 26 is canceled so that they<br>
will not be receiving a tape for that session.<br>
