Milking Center Waste Software

Create a subdirectory on your computer (such as milk). Download the Milking program to that subdirectory. The program is compressed (pkzip'ed) into the following file:
milk.zip

Once you have downloaded this file, use the DOS program pkunzip to uncompress/unzip the program (pkunzip *.zip from the DOS prompt in the milk directory).

After the program has been uncompressed, start the program using the milk command at the DOS prompt in the milk directory.

A second method for copying the software to PCs in PUCC labs is the following:

  1. login using your ASM 336 class account
  2. start a DOS window and create a directory on the C: drive for the Milking software (mkdir milk) and change directories to that location (cd milk)
  3. copy the Milking program from the ASM 336 class account using the following: copy k:\milk\. .
  4. start the Milking Center Waste program (milk)

The accompanying study guide for the Milking Center Waste program can be downloaded here and printed from MS Word.

Helpful hints:

If running the program from a DOS window in MS Windows, make the DOS window full screen using the Alt and Tab keys.
