Spring 2008 teaching:
CE361 - Transportation Engineering
CE697M - Statistical and Econometric Methods II

Background
Fred Mannering joined Purdue University in the summer of 2001 as the Head of the School of Civil Engineering. He is currently a Professor in Civil Engineering and also holds a courtesy appointment in the Department of Economics. His research interests are in the application of econometric and statistical methods to a variety of engineering problems, highway safety, transportation economics, automobile demand, and travel behavior. He has published extensively in these fields (see resume) and has coauthored two books: Statistical and econometric methods for transportation data analysis and Principles of highway engineering and traffic analysis. He is also editor-in-chief of Transportation Research Part B - Methodological, an Elsevier journal with the highest citation impact factor in the transportation field (see ISI Web of Knowledge).
