The implementation of an atomistic Hamiltonian allows for a physical simulation of substitutional impurities in dots. Impurity bond distortion is accounted for by scaling the Hamiltonian matrix elements between the impurity atom and the dot atoms. This page has been accessed at least times since June 1, 2000.
