for Modeling Electronic Conduction in Metal-Molecule-Metal System

The
structure illustrated here is a phenyl dithiol molecule bridging between two
gold surfaces. Molecule is approximately 1 nm long. Prof.
Supriyo Datta's group is modeling the electronic conduction through
molecular systems by merging quantum chemistry concepts with advanced
techniques for describing electronic transport in nanoscale
systems.
