JohannaĠs Playdough

 

Ingredients

v    1 cup corn starch (17mg PHE).

v    ½ cup salt.

v    1 tbsp cream of tartar. 

v    1 tsp guar gum or xantham gum (you can find these in stores where they sell ingredients for gluten free cooking).

v    1 cup water.

v    food color and flavour

Total PHE : 17mg

Instructions

Mix all dry ingredients in a medium pot. Add the water and stir. Slowly cook the mixture until it thickens, stirring continuously. Remove from the pan and knead until the texture is just right. (Careful, itĠs hot!) If the dough is too sticky, sprinkle a bit of cornstarch on your hands and on the table.

 

Note : if the guar gum is omitted, the texture of the playdough will be more Ç sandy È, less smooth.
