A very well-known
festival in India, especially in Maharashtra and more so in Bombay, the
Ganesh Festival, is celebrated every year in the month of August/September.
This time around, a group of Indian students at Purdue decided to celebrate
the festival here in Purdue. And this webpage (and the subsequent one)
are about the way this festival was celebrated. The festival was celebrated
in our apartment and about 18 odd people were mainly responsible for organizing
the festival. More than 50 people attended the festival, which lasted for
