Julio Ramirez is a Professor of Civil Engineering in Structural Engineering in the School of Civil Engineering at Purdue University.

He received his D.Eng. at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in 1977, an M.S. from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1978 and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1983.
