Research

My research interests are in Peer-to-Peer systems, and  Network Management.

I lead the  Internet Systems Lab, where you can find more details of my research.

Bio

Sanjay G. Rao joined the ECE department of Purdue University as an Assistant Professor in January 2005. His research interests are in Networking, Distributed Systems, and Internet Architecture and Protocols. He received the Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and the Ph.D from the School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University in 2004. His thesis research has been on End System Multicast, a project at Carnegie Mellon that he played a leadership role in. At Purdue, Sanjay plans to continue his research in overlay networks and multimedia applications, as well as initiate research in areas such as Security,  and Network Management.
