According to ISI database, out of all OPTICS papers published within the last five years (over 80,000 papers, in total, published since Jan 1, 2005 in 72 optics journals), three papers from the Shalaev's group are ranked, in terms of the number of citations, as #1, #2, and #5, as indicated here ...
