Keynote address informationOn Wednesday, March 29, Guy L. Steele Jr, Sun Fellow, Sun Microsystems Laboratories, will be presenting the joint CGO/PPoPP Keynote Address. His talk is entitled Parallel Programming and Code Selection in Fortress.On Thursday, March 30, at 8:30am, Raymie Stata, Chief Architect for Search & Marketplace, Yahoo!, Inc. will be presenting the PPoPP keynote entitled Parallel Programming in Modern Web Search Engines. Additional conference informationThe ACM SIGPLAN 2006 Symposium on Principles and Practice of Parallel Programming will be held in New York City, NY, March 29-31, 2006. The goal of the PPoPP Symposia is to provide a forum for papers on the principles and foundations of parallel programming, tools and techniques for parallel programming, and experiences in using parallel programming to solve applications problems. PPoPP'06 will be co-located with CGO'06 at Columbia University in Manhattan, NYC. Hotel information is now available. Please check the call for papers for detailed information on subjects of interest and on submission procedure, including electronic submission. Proceedings will be published by ACM Press. Authors of accepted papers will be required to sign the ACM copyright form. Instructions for preparing papers for the proceedings will be emailed to the authors of accepted papers. Submission information:Papers should not exceed 10 pages in standard ACM two-column format, and must be submitted electronically using the submission form available at the submission page. Submissions must be in PDF format -- if this is not possible contact the Program Chair. Proceedings will be published by ACM Press. Authors of accepted papers will be required to sign the ACM copyright form. Instructions for preparing papers for the proceedings will be emailed to the authors of accepted papers.
