Research Interests
My research group focuses on
what I call "auditory neuroengineering." The primary aims of our work are
the improvement of auditory rehabilitation and neuroprosthesis
development/refinement. These aims are addressed via investigations into the
operation of the auditory pathway using psychophysical and neuroimaging
(primarily fMRI) techniques.
Expertise in these areas was developed through
my training at both the Massachusetts
General Hospital NMR Center and the Eaton-Peabody Laboratory at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary while
a part of the (now) Speech and Hearing
Bioscience and Technology graduate program, a part of the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and
Technology.
