Current projects of the Galileo/Software Defined Radio team include: building a 40 Mbit/sec recording system using off the shelf (COTS) parts, to capture the full Galileo spectrum, and estimating biases in the timing and geodetic references between GPS and Galileo.  more

There are two eTransportation projects: 1) Modeling and measurement of inductive loop detection zones for bicycles. 2) Road smoothness estimation and pothole detection from ride acceleration measurements. more

The Graphics Processing Unit GPU team utilizes the supercomputing power of programmable PC graphics cards (Graphics Processing Units – GPUs) for scientific, entertainment, and management applications.  more
The Wireless Propagation team studies urban and rural radio wave propagation by using state-of-the-art ray-tracing models and experimental techniques. This understanding will eventually lead to new and fast physics-based macromodels for novel radios.   more
The goals of the Online Spanish Tutor (OST) team are: to create a web application that provides students learning Spanish with immediate, automatic feedback about the quality of their speech. The application will be able to play a model speaker speaking a phrase, record the student repeating the phrase, analyze the recorded speech using various metrics that contribute to an accent, and provide the student with immediate feedback as to their speech quality and areas in which they can improve.   more
The main goal of the Stratigraphy project is to create applications and resources that aid in the mission of the International Commission on Stratigraphy (ICS), such as web-based syndication methods for Geologic Time Scale data as it is ratified by the commision, as well as maintenance and upgrade of the current ICS website. more
The main goal of the GWiki iPhone Project is to create native mobile applications that make the functionality of the Visible Past project's Georeferenced Wiki (GWiki) available to iPhone and other mobile users in real time.  more
